EXL Teams
Expanded Learning Performing Arts Teams provide students with opportunities to develop talent, confidence, and leadership through performance-based enrichment. EXL teams include Folklórico, Mariachi, Drumline, and other performance groups, offering students meaningful ways to engage in arts, culture, and teamwork.
Throughout the year, EXL teams participate in Winter and Spring performances, as well as community showcases, including parades and local events. These experiences allow students to share their skills, represent their schools, and connect with the broader community while building pride and belonging. Participation in EXL teams supports student growth beyond the classroom and highlights the creativity and dedication of our students across the district
EXL Sports Teams offer students opportunities to stay active, build teamwork, and develop sportsmanship in a positive and supportive environment. EXL currently offers six sports, including Cheer, Football, Basketball, Cross Country, Soccer, and Volleyball, giving students a variety of ways to participate and grow.
Throughout the season, teams participate in cross-town scrimmages and Tournament Saturdays, providing students with meaningful game experiences while emphasizing skill development, collaboration, and fun. EXL sports teams focus on inclusion, healthy competition, and student engagement, helping students build confidence and a sense of belonging beyond the school day.

Education Code section 8483 states that priority enrollment goes to foster youth, homeless youth, and students who are eligible for free and reduced-priced meals. Priority enrollment for students who attend daily.
