Welcome to the Strategy & Communications Department of Porterville Unified School District. Our mission is to foster transparent, effective, and timely communication within our diverse community, ensuring that every educational partner—from students and parents to staff and community members—feels informed, engaged, and valued.

Our Responsibilities

The Strategy & Communications Department is dedicated to:

Internal Communications: Enhancing the flow of information among staff through regular updates, newsletters, and collaborative platforms, fostering a cohesive and informed workforce.
External Communications: Engaging with parents, students, and the broader community via multiple channels, including the district website, ParentSquare, social media, press releases, and community events, to share important news, achievements, and updates.
Media Relations: serving as the primary liaison between PUSD and media outlets, ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of information.
Crisis Communication: Developing and implementing communication strategies during emergencies to provide clear and concise information to all educational partners.
Brand Management: Maintaining and promoting the district's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communications and materials.

Porterville Unified School District is committed to maintaining open and transparent communication with students, families, and the general public.

All members of the media are encouraged to contact the PUSD Strategy & Communications office for all media interview requests rather than contacting individual school sites. We will do our best to respond to all inquiries as quickly as possible.
