On Friday Harmony Magnet Academy proudly held its 2025 graduation ceremony at the Buck Shaffer Theater at the Porterville Memorial Auditorium. The venue was filled with joyful families and friends, all eagerly awaiting the moment their graduate would walk across the stage to receive their diploma.
The ceremony began with ASB President Danny Ramos welcoming the audience and inviting them to stand for the presentation of the colors by Porterville Military Academy. This was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a moving performance of the National Anthem by the Harmony Magnet Academy Orchestra.
Once everyone was seated, Principal Jeff Brown took the stage to deliver his opening remarks. He began by expressing his gratitude to all in attendance for joining in the celebration of the Class of 2025. He also thanked the Porterville Unified School District and the school’s administration for making the event possible. Brown gave special recognition to the Harmony faculty for their dedication to preparing the students for this milestone. He concluded his speech with an inspiring message to the graduates: “Because you were made victorious, you will not fail.”
Following his remarks, Brown reintroduced Ramos, who also served as one of the class valedictorians. Ramos began by thanking his family and friends for their unwavering support. He proudly acknowledged the efforts of the ASB team, saying, “This year, our ASB team worked hard to make school not just a place we had to be, but a place we wanted to be.”
His speech was both heartfelt and humorous, as he fondly recalled lighthearted moments like staff rolling around in giant hamster balls during the harvest festival. He ended by thanking the Harmony staff for their support, and especially the counselors, whom he described as “the calm in the storm” during a hectic senior year.
Harmony Magnet Academy’s Class of 2025 featured 10 valedictorians: Ramos, Isabelle Aguilar, Alexandra Carino, Judith Gomez, Adison Heinsley, J.D. Loftin, Danny Rodriguez, and Briley Silva. Each valedictorian delivered a speech that resonated with the audience, reflecting on their shared journey through the past four years. The highs, the lows, and everything in between.
As the ceremony came to a close, there was a palpable sense of pride and excitement in the air. The graduates of Harmony Magnet Academy’s Class of 2025 walked away not only with diplomas in hand but also with cherished memories, meaningful friendships, and a foundation of support to guide them into their next chapter. It was an evening of celebration, reflection, and hope for the future.
