Olive Street Elementary Principal Isaac Nuñez Passes Away

It is with deep sadness and regret that Porterville Unified School District announces the passing of Olive Street Elementary School Principal Isaac Nuñez. Mr. Nuñez suffered an injury on Sunday in a fall at his home and was airlifted to Kaweah Delta, where he was receiving treatment.  Despite everyone’s best efforts, Mr. Nuñez’s condition did not improve and he passed away this afternoon with his family at his side.

Isaac touched thousands of students’ lives over the twenty-one years he spent as an educator with PUSD and his absence will be felt by all.  Though tragically cut short, we are forever grateful for the time we had with him and for the passion, commitment, and leadership he exemplified every day in his work with our staff and children.  On behalf of the entire PUSD community, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to Isaac’s wife, Casey, and the rest of the Nuñez family.

Mr. Nuñez was 46.

Additional information regarding services and arrangements will be made public as it becomes available. Please join us in keeping Isaac's family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
