Porterville Unified School District is changing its bell schedule for the 2018-2019 school year. Students should arrive five minutes earlier than previous years, with instruction beginning promptly at 8:10 a.m. Students will be released five minutes later, with primary grades (TK-3) ending at 2:25 p.m.; intermediate grades (4-6) ending at 3:10 p.m.; middle school (7-8) ending at 3:10 p.m, and high school (9-12) ending at 3:30 p.m.
Additionally, all students will be released early every Wednesday at 1:45 p.m. to provide professional development and collaboration opportunities for school staff.
We will be in constant contact with the district’s transportation department, as well as all sites, to ensure a smooth transition for students to this new schedule.
Please check your school’s individual website for more information or feel free to contact your student’s school for more information. You may find each site’s contact information through the district’s website at www.portervilleschools.org
We appreciate your patience and support as we continue our work to provide the best education for your students.
