Each year, outstanding PUSD staff members are nominated by their peers and leaders for the meaningful impact they make across our district. We are proud to recognize Porterville Unified's Teacher of the Year, School Employee of the Year, and Administrator of the Year.

Olive Street Elementary · 37 Years of Service

Mrs. Torres is known as a trusted leader, mentor, and the heart of her school. Her dedication has impacted generations of students, many of whom still return years later to thank her for believing in them.

School Employee of the Year

 
Placido Flores
Porterville High School · 22 Years of Service

Mr. Flores manages the student-run store and provides meaningful work-based learning experiences. Colleagues share that he builds strong relationships with students and is a steady presence on campus each day.

Administrator of the Year

 
Jonathon Dodson
Monache High School · 13 Years of Service

Mr. Dodson is known as a fair and consistent leader who helps create a safe and supportive learning environment. His visible leadership strengthens campus culture through professionalism, unity, and shared responsibility.
