Monache High MTA and MCTA Pathway Students Advance to SkillsUSA State Competition

Monache High School Multimedia and Technology Academy (MTA) and Manufacturing and Construction Technology Academy (MCTA) students have advanced to the SkillsUSA State Competition on April 16-19 in Ontario. The following students competed in the Region 2 event on February 22 and scored high enough to advance:

MTA

- Kyla Castillo - T-Shirt Design - 1st Place

- Ruby Fiori & Kelci Seaman - Television (Video) Production - 1st Place

MCTA

- Juan Franco, Natalia Murillo, & Alvaro Ramos - Metals Fabrication - 1st Place

- Christina Silva - Cabinetry - 1st Place

- Rosaleeh Gaona - Cabinetry - 2nd Place

- Robert Saldivar - Cabinetry - 3rd Place (tied)

- Ismael Martinez - Cabinetry - 3rd Place (tied)

- Daniel Lopez - Woodworking - 1st Place

- Kyleen Mitchell - Woodworking - 3rd Place

- Sebastian Corona - Woodworking - 4th Place

Region 2 includes Tulare, Kern, Fresno, Kings, Monterey, San Benito, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz counties. The SkillsUSA national competition features over 300,000 students in 4,600 schools nationwide.
